Underwater helix anchors:

Helix anchors will not penetrate solid rock or coral. When we encounter these substrates, we drill a hole with hydraulic equipment and use a two-part epoxy to secure our galvanized steel pin. This method can achieve optimum loading.

When higher loads of holding are required, we can engineer the mooring tackle to suit the situation.

PURPOSE:To lay down easily and linearly with a predetermined gap a series of anchors each having a guide metal at one end and a positioning rope equipped with a self-locking hook and a guide rope at the other end by guiding a subsequent anchor using the guide rope of a preceeding anchor in a sequential manner.

An industry-wide nomenclature describing soils and rock is nonexistent.

Different organizations ca1l the same soil type by different names and assign to it different anchor pu11-out capacities.  As a result, it is difficult to interpret and correlate available test data and develop

sound empirical desi gn procedures.  However, in areas where 1ocal fieldexperience has been accumulated, satisfactory anchoring of mobile homes is accomplished by adequate characterization of regional soil condit ions.

The present practice of assigning pu11-out capacities to various anchor types on the basis of visua1 descriptions of soil types is potentially misleading and unsafe.

Such "soil descri ptions" seldom take into account the actual soil properties and conditions that govern the pull-out capacity.  It is concluded that there is a need for an industry-wi de consensus on terminology for describing, and methods of characterizing soils and rocks.
