Anchor Rod

Anchor Rod

The anchor rod is an important component for utility and telephone poles. The anchor rod provided by us have effective grip strength throughout the length. m24 din 975 threaded rod is embedded into concrete or metal structure or are used to align them. They are used in a variety of applications like plumbing, agriculture, marine, manufacturing, and contract working.

  • Product Introduction

Anchor rod for helical anchors. Manufactured by #45 carbon steel, with high tensile strength.

  • Hex size on each end is 1", M24, M20 or as required

  • Thread size on opposite sides of rod is 43/64"-11 UNS-2A

  • Hot dip galvanized to meet ASTM Specification A123.

The rod used in slope engineering is a kind of tensile member installed in the depth of the geotechnical layer, one end of which is connected to the engineering structure, and the other end is anchored in the geotechnical layer, and if necessary, it is necessary to apply prestress to withstand the tensile force generated by geotechnical pressure, water pressure or wind load, and then transmit the pulling force to the deep stable geotechnical layer to effectively bear the structural load and prevent the deformation and instability of the slope.

The  rod referred to in the project is usually a general term for the anchoring system in which the tension member is located.

The anchor rod is generally composed of three basic parts: anchor head, rod body (tie rod) and anchor solid (segment).

Anchor rods are an important element in construction, used to secure structures and foundations to the ground. They play a critical role in ensuring the stability and safety of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure. One of the key factors that determines the effectiveness of an  rod is its hex size.

So, what does hex size mean and why is it important? The hex size refers to the size of the six-sided head of the rod, which is used to tighten or loosen the rod. It is measured in inches, and typically ranges from 3/4" to 1 1/2" in diameter. The hex size is important because it determines the amount of torque that can be applied to the rod, and thus affects its strength and stability.

In the case of anchor rods with a hex size of 1", M24, M20 or as required, this means that they have a robust and standard hex head size which is capable of providing high torque for tightening and adjusting the rod. This is crucial for ensuring that the rod remains secure and stable, even in extreme weather conditions or other challenging environments.

Another important factor to consider is the thread size on opposite sides of the rod. In the case of rods with a thread size of 43/64"-11 UNS-2A, this means that they have a coarse thread pattern which is ideal for heavy duty applications. The coarse thread pattern provides a better grip and stronger holding force than a fine thread pattern, and is less likely to strip or break under stress.

In addition to their hex size and thread size, rods are commonly hot dip galvanized to meet ASTM Specification A123. This means that they have been coated with a layer of zinc to protect against corrosion and rust. This is crucial for ensuring that the anchor rod remains in good condition over time, and does not degrade or weaken due to exposure to the elements.

In conclusion, rods with a hex size of 1", M24, M20 or as required, a thread size of 43/64"-11 UNS-2A, and hot dip galvanized to meet ASTM Specification A123 are essential for ensuring the stability and safety of structures and foundations. By selecting the right  rod, builders and engineers can ensure that their projects are built to last and withstand the test of time.
