The rod this comes with to drive the Ground Anchors For Retaining Walls into the ground is completely useless. It's basically designed to be used only in loose dirt and soil. If you live anywhere that has any amount of clay, the rod will bend and deform before you can even get the anchor into the ground. You can literally bend this rod with next to no effort by hand.

I ended up having to use rebar to drive the anchor into the ground, once I switched to rebar it went in pretty easily. The rod supplied was so malleable that it was absorbing the majority of the force into deforming the bar rather than driving the anchor. Using rebar let me pound into the ground with relative ease.

Considering you can get the rebar, cable, and clamps from Home Depot for about 10 bucks, you are basically paying 25 bucks for the anchors. I suppose that's a decent enough value, but the annoyance and wasted time of dealing with the rod is why I gave this a low rating. Skip the rod and just use rebar.

These anchors work quite well, if you can get them into the ground and then get the install driving rod out. I'd suggest don't even bother trying to install these without milling down the last couple inches of the rod first. Otherwise you'll be pulling the anchor back out with the rod stuck in it so bad you'll need a sledge hammer to get it out. After milling down the rod, install was smooth and the anchors aren't going

These anchors were use to stabilize 10x14 gazebo. We just had extremely strong thunderstorms with high winds. Our gazebo did not move one inch. These Ground Anchors For Retaining Walls were amazing
