Different Kinds Of Ground Anchors

May 10, 2023|

Ground anchors are props used to connect anchoring points and anchor solids. They are often used for anchoring in construction engineering, bridge engineering, mining mining, offshore oil fields and offshore wind power. There are many types of ground anchors. Below we will introduce several main types of ground anchors and their characteristics.

First, spiral anchor

Spiral ground anchor is a kind of anchor with rotary anchorage. It is a very popular anchorage method. Its appearance solves the problem that the traditional anchor is not strong. Spiral anchor can be installed by hand rotation or machine rotation, saving time and effort, and the anchoring effect is very good. Spiral ground anchor is characterized by convenient installation, low cost and good reusability. It is widely used in engineering construction, such as building foundation, parking lot, bridge, tower, etc.

Two, jet anchor

Jet anchor is a kind of anchor with sprayed concrete and other materials to anchor, it can be sprayed through the ground hole material, so that concrete and steel in the hole to form a fixed whole. The purpose of jetting ground anchors is to "strengthen" the foundation soil and prevent the foundation from sinking by counteracting horizontal extrusion pressure through the bearing capacity of the anchorage points. The advantages of jet anchorage are simple structure, convenient installation, good stability and wide application range. Jet anchors are suitable for parking lots, large warehouses, subway stations, tunnels, Bridges and other engineering fields.

Three, chemical anchor

Chemical anchor is a way of fixing anchor by chemical reaction. The anchor is firmly attached to the foundation soil by using chemicals such as epoxy resins, polymers and cement. Chemical anchors are easy to install and use, and can be reused well. It is suitable for deep foundation pit, rock slope resistant to erosion and scouring, and bad consolidation site with a large amount of groundwater.

4. Drill ground anchors

Borehole anchor is a kind of anchor device which is loaded into supporting rod, fiber bar, concrete and other materials to form an anchor solid which can bear extrusion load. Borehole anchors are characterized by shear resistance, excellent performance, controllable anchorage depth and strong repeatability. Borehole anchors are suitable for different kinds of soil layers and rock strata, and are widely used in tunnel engineering, subway stations, highways, landslides and earth-rock DAMS and other fields.

In addition to different kinds of ground anchors, there are also some supporting products are essential, such as wire rope, fish tail clip, special glue and so on. Wire rope is one of the most essential products of anchor series. The main function of the wire rope is to connect the ground anchor and the anchorage point, and play the role of connecting and fixing. The fishtail clip is a small part used to attach the wire rope. The special glue is used to fill the gap between the anchor hole and the ground anchor, increase the friction between the ground anchor and the foundation, and effectively anchor the anchor.

Before selecting ground anchor, we need to understand the specific engineering situation and requirements, and select the most appropriate ground anchor products and supporting equipment according to the engineering requirements. At the same time, we should also pay attention to safe operation when using ground anchors to ensure the anchoring effect and ensure the personal safety of construction personnel.
