• Helix screw anchor design: The helix shall have  convex leading edge and a concave trailing edge.

• Strength test: Each design shall be tested to establish nominal sections and, for welded steel construction, the type and size of welds to develop the following requirements shown. Any fracturing of the anchor or buckling to the extent tht its projected area is reduced by more than 5% during the tests shall constitute failure of the tests.
