Inspection of ground anchors

Ground anchor is a kind of common foundation reinforcement, which is used to improve the bearing capacity of soil and increase the safety factor of structure. The quality of ground anchor directly affects the safety and stability of the project, so it must be tested after making ground anchor. The inspection process includes appearance inspection, drawing test and displacement test. Inspection tools include crack meter, scale, dynamic detection equipment, etc.

1. Check appearance

Appearance inspection is an important link of ground anchor quality inspection, mainly checking whether the bolt, sleeve, limit ring, anchorage belt and other components are intact, whether the joint is tight, whether there are cracks, deformation, rust and other defects. Appearance inspection can be observed with the naked eye. Attention should be paid to cleaning to prevent sundries from interfering with the inspection results.

2. Drawing test

Drawing test is the main method to measure the internal mechanical properties of ground anchors. The test simulates the load of ground anchors, and evaluates the quality of ground anchors by measuring the tensile, flexural and bending properties of anchor rods. Drawing test usually uses universal testing machine or tensile testing machine, according to the test requirements to choose different testing machine models, parameters, such as tension, displacement, time, etc.

3. Displacement test

Displacement test is a method to evaluate the strain performance of ground anchors. The test is mainly used to detect the deformation of ground anchors under external loads, and measure the deformation, surface displacement, displacement velocity and other parameters of ground anchors. Displacement testing can use laser rangefinder, displacement sensor, vibration sensor and other devices, the choice of different testing devices depending on the specific requirements.

4. Other test methods

In addition to the above inspection methods, other inspection methods are commonly used to verify the quality and stability of ground anchors, such as matte test, dynamic test, magnetic test, etc. These test methods generally require professional testing equipment and technical support. Appearance and drawing tests can be used for daily testing.

In short, after the anchor is made, it must be inspected comprehensively to ensure that it meets the requirements of safety technical specifications. The inspection process includes appearance inspection, drawing test, displacement test and other links. The inspection tools choose different equipment and methods according to different test contents. The safety and stability of engineering structure can only be ensured by the ground anchor which has been tested scientifically.
