Ground anchor has three forces, namely: mo resistance T of the earth, anti-shearing force Q, self-weight.The first two must check the mechanics of earthworks. The local anchor is buried in the soil layer, which has a binding effect on the movement of the anchor. In geomechnical, all kinds of soil have an anti-shear modulus (i.e. how much load is required to apply unit deformation on the unit area), and the vertical projection of the anchor on the side of the soil layer is the parameter for calculating the anti-shear force. Ground anchor weight: Calculate the vertical movement of the anchor with the full weight (including other weight above), calculate the anti-shear is using the self-weight × coefficient of friction (the coefficient of friction between the soil layer and the anchor, there is a table to check).
With these calculations, the resilience of the anchor can be analyzed.
